Overview
Grazi AI is an artificial intelligence assistant built directly into Petboost. It helps you get answers about your business, draft communications, and navigate the platform, all through natural language conversation.
Your conversations are saved automatically so you can pick up where you left off, and if you need a human, you can escalate directly to our support team without leaving the panel.
Included on every plan, Calendar Lite included, at no extra cost
How to Access Grazi AI
From the Side Panel
Click the Grazi AI label on the right-hand rail of any page to open the assistant panel. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Cmd+/ (Mac) or Ctrl+/ (Windows/Linux) to toggle the panel open and closed.
Via Quick Command Centre
Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to open the Quick Command Centre
Type your question in natural language
The Command Centre will recognise it as a question and offer to hand it to Grazi AI
Select it to open the Grazi AI panel with your question pre-filled
For more on the Quick Command Centre, see Quick Command Centre.
From Generate with AI
Some areas of Petboost (such as service and course descriptions) include a "Generate with AI" button that opens Grazi AI with a pre-filled prompt tailored to the task.
From Draft with Grazi
On Messages, if a conversation is open and the compose field is showing, Draft with Grazi sits next to it. It opens Grazi AI with the recent thread and asks it to draft a reply. Review the draft, then select Insert while that conversation is still open, or copy it into the compose field before you send. Grazi only drafts when you select the button.
Focus Mode
Click the expand icon in the Grazi AI panel header to open Focus Mode, a full-screen view of the same conversation. Click Minimise to return to the docked panel. The same conversation stays open in both views.
Before You Start
Grazi AI is an experimental feature. Before you rely on it, it is worth knowing:
Grazi AI is a read-only assistant (it looks up data but does not change records)
AI can make mistakes; always verify before acting
Grazi AI does not provide professional advice (financial, legal, veterinary, or tax)
Your questions are processed securely and are not used to train AI models
The panel carries a permanent reminder that Grazi AI can make mistakes and that you should double-check anything important. Full detail is in the Grazi AI Terms of Use.
What Grazi AI Can Do
Ask Questions About Your Business
Grazi AI has access to your business data and can answer questions instantly:
"How many appointments did I have last week?"
"Which services are most popular this month?"
"How many new customers signed up in February?"
"What is my average appointment value?"
Get Instant Insights
Instead of navigating to reports and applying filters, ask Grazi AI directly:
"Show me my busiest day of the week"
"Which team member has the most appointments this week?"
"How does this month compare to last month?"
Draft Client Communications
Grazi AI can help you write messages to send to customers:
"Draft an SMS to remind Sarah about vaccinations"
"Write a message to let customers know we're closed for Easter"
"Help me write a follow-up message for no-show appointments"
From Messages, select Draft with Grazi on an open conversation
You can review and edit any draft before sending.
Get Step-by-Step Guidance
Not sure how to do something in Petboost? Ask Grazi AI:
"How do I set up recurring appointments?"
"How do I add a new service?"
"How do I configure automatic reminders?"
"How do I export my customer data?"
Grazi AI will walk you through the steps within the platform.
Contextual Suggestions
When you open Grazi AI, it shows suggested questions based on which page you are currently viewing. For example, on the Calendar page you might see suggestions about today's appointments, while on the Reporting page you might see suggestions about revenue trends. Tap any suggestion to ask it instantly.
Conversation History
Grazi AI saves your conversations automatically so you can return to previous topics without starting from scratch.
Viewing Past Conversations
Click the clock icon (conversation history) in the Grazi AI panel header to see your recent conversations. Conversations are grouped by time: Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days, and Older.
Each conversation shows its title, message count, and how long ago the last message was sent.
Resuming a Conversation
Select any conversation from the history list to load it back into the panel. You can continue the conversation exactly where you left off.
If you had an active conversation within the last 30 minutes, Grazi AI will offer a Resume banner when you reopen the panel. Click Resume to continue, or dismiss it to start fresh.
Starting a New Conversation
Click the New button in the panel header (or "New conversation" in the history popover) to start a fresh conversation. Your previous conversation is archived automatically and remains accessible from the history list.
Archiving Conversations
Hover over any conversation in the history list and click the archive icon to remove it from the list. Archived conversations are no longer shown but remain stored on the server.
Speak with the team
Speak with the team starts a support conversation. The team replies during business hours.
Select Speak with the team. The button sits under the suggestions when you open the panel, below the message box once a conversation has started, and on a reply after you select thumbs down
Write what you need
Select Send to the team
The message, your page and your most recent question go to the support team. They reply in the panel and by email, usually between 8:00am and 6:00pm AEST. Ask Grazi Instead returns you to the conversation.
Feedback
After each Grazi AI response, you can rate it with the thumbs up or thumbs down icons.
Thumbs up marks the response as helpful
Thumbs down opens an optional text field so you can say what was wrong
If you also want a person to look at it, click Speak with the team on that reply. The form opens with your note already filled in.
Limitations
Read-only access: Grazi AI can read your business data to answer questions, but it cannot make changes to your account, appointments, or settings. You will always need to take action yourself.
AI-generated responses: responses are generated by AI and should be verified, particularly for financial figures or compliance-related queries. Always cross-reference important numbers with your reports.
Current data only: Grazi AI works with your current business data in Petboost. It does not have access to external systems or historical data that has been archived.
History limit: The conversation history shows up to 50 active conversations. Archived conversations are not displayed.
Answers take a moment: a typical question takes around 13 seconds, and a complex one that needs several lookups can take closer to a minute.
Message limit: up to 20 messages per user per minute.
Privacy
Your data stays within Petboost: Grazi AI queries are processed securely and your business data is not shared with third parties
Conversations are not shared: your Grazi AI conversations are private to your business account
No training on your data: your business data is not used to train AI models
Tips for Best Results
Be specific: "How many grooming appointments were there last week?" works better than "Tell me about grooming"
Ask one question at a time: Grazi AI handles focused questions more accurately than multi-part queries
Provide context: if your question relates to a specific time period, service, or team member, include that detail
Iterate: if the first response is not quite right, refine your question with more detail
Use for drafts, not finals: always review AI-drafted communications before sending them to customers
Try the suggestions: contextual suggestions are tailored to the page you are on and can surface insights you might not think to ask for
