When you tap a Petboost link inside a social or messaging app, that app opens it in a browser of its own rather than in Safari or Chrome. Those built-in browsers handle the sign-in step badly, so Petboost stops you before you reach it and shows you how to get out.
You will see a screen headed Almost there... with the app's icon, an arrow, and the Petboost icon. Your link is not broken. You are one step away.
Send your team the Petboost address rather than a link in a direct message, and this never comes up.
Get out of the in-app browser
Press and hold the round Petboost button in the middle of the screen.
Tap Open Link on the menu that appears.
Your phone opens the same address in Safari or Chrome, and Petboost carries you on to sign in.
The button needs a press and hold, not a tap. A tap does nothing, because a normal tap stays inside the app you came from.
If the button does not work
Select Or copy link manually. The screen confirms with Link copied!.
Open Safari or Chrome yourself.
Paste the address into the address bar and go.
You can also escape from the app's own menu:
iPhone and iPad: tap the menu, then Open in Safari
Android: tap the menu, then Open in Chrome or Open in browser
Which apps do this
Petboost recognises the built-in browsers in Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, Discord, Slack, Telegram, Line and WeChat.
If you are already in Safari or Chrome, you never see the screen. Petboost checks, finds a real browser and sends you straight to sign in.
Where else this appears
On some screens you get an amber warning instead of the full-screen version, naming the app you are in. It carries the same two ways out: Open your browser and Copy link. Pet owners get the same treatment on their side, so a client who taps your booking link from an Instagram story is stopped and redirected the same way.
Avoid it altogether
Add Petboost to your home screen and open it from there. See Add Petboost to Your Home Screen
Share business.petboost.com as plain text rather than as a link in a social app
For clients, share your booking link as text in an SMS, which opens in the phone's real browser
