What This Guide Covers
Your booking page is a free, public microsite for your business on petboost.com.au. This guide helps you:
Understand what your booking page is and how it helps your business
Understand when your page is public
Customise your page with your branding
Optimise your services for maximum impact
Share your booking page to attract new customers
What Is Your Booking Page?
Your booking page is a complete online presence for your pet business. Pet owners can browse your services, see pricing, read your hours and policies, and book online, all from one branded page.
Your booking page URLs:
Short (copy and share this):
https://pbbook.now/{your-business-name}Canonical (what the short link opens):
https://petboost.com.au/{your-business-name}-{id}/
pbbook.now is a Petboost domain. The short link redirects to your public booking page. Copy it from Quick Copy Links.
It includes:
A branded hero with your logo, colours, optional video, and Google rating when you have set a Google review link
A Google reviews section from that same review link, with the rating and any sample reviews Google returns
Your About text, announcement banner, hours, amenities, and badges
A Before you book card built from your vaccination, cancellation, card, mobile, and weight settings
An on-page price list from your live catalogue, plus a downloadable PDF
Photo gallery and team cards, including any badges assigned to a team member
Your full service catalogue with images, descriptions, and pricing
A Quick Estimate tool (pet owners filter by weight to see relevant services). You can hide this under Services on Settings > Your Booking Page
A Most booked carousel of services with the highest booking counts. You can hide this under Services on Settings > Your Booking Page
Service area maps (for mobile services)
Group class enrolment (if you offer courses)
Your contact details, social links, and policies
A generated FAQ section you can hide, rename, or add to
A sticky booking bar for instant conversion
It is also optimised for search engines, so pet owners searching "dog grooming near me" or "pet daycare [your suburb]" can discover your business through Google.
When Your Page Goes Live
Your booking page is public while your account is on a Pro, Flex, Max or Enterprise plan, including a free trial and while a payment is overdue or the subscription is paused. Calendar Lite does not include a booking page, and the page comes down when the subscription is cancelled.
With Online booking off in Settings > Booking Settings, the page stays up with a contact banner and without services, packages, memberships or courses. Your business is listed in the Petboost directory at petboost.com.au/browse only while Online booking is on.
There is no green-tick checklist on Settings > Your Booking Page. That tab is the editor for what visitors see.
The page still looks thin until you fill in the content below. Branding, services, hours, and policies all help, but they are not a separate "eligibility" score on this tab.
Setting Up Your Booking Page
Step 1: Complete Your Business Profile
Go to Settings > Business Details and ensure these fields are filled in:
Business name (displayed prominently on your page)
Billing address (used for your location on the page and in search results)
Phone number (displayed with click-to-call)
Email address (displayed with mailto link)
On Settings > Business Details > About you can also set:
About (shown as a short blurb or a longer About section). On Settings > Your Booking Page, tap Open the editor. If About is empty, tap Use this draft to accept a suggested draft built from your suburb, hours, and policies. The draft is not published until you accept it.
Badges (short chips with an icon). To put the chip on the page, leave Show on listing selected. To put it on team cards only, select Show on team cards and tick the people. A badge is listing or team, not both. Up to 40.
Announcement (optional banner with an expiry)
Amenities (shown on the page)
Opening hours, public holidays, and special hours live on Settings > Hours. Weekday and holiday pricing notes show on the hours card when you set them.
Optional but recommended:
ABN (displayed for business legitimacy)
Facebook URL (linked from your page)
Instagram URL (linked from your page)
Google Review link (shows a Google rating on the hero when Places can resolve it, and always links to Google)
Website URL (linked from your page)
Step 2: Add Your Branding
Go to Settings > Branding and configure:
Logo (square): Used in the hero section and sticky booking bar. SVG or PNG recommended.
Logo (horizontal): Used where space allows. SVG or PNG recommended.
Hero image: The main visual on your booking page. Use a high-quality photo of your space, team, or a pet you have serviced.
Showcase video URL: Optional. A YouTube, Vimeo, or Instagram video that auto-plays in your hero section. Great for showing off your facilities.
Primary colour: Applied to accents throughout your page.
Primary button colour: Applied to booking CTAs.
Secondary colour: Applied to secondary elements.
Custom font: Optional. Specify a font family name and URL to match your brand.
Photo gallery: Up to 20 photos shown in the gallery section. You can upload them here, or tap Choose from appointment photos and pick business-note photos from the last 90 days. Tick the permission checkbox before you add them.
Step 3: Enable Self-Service Booking
Go to Settings > Booking Settings and turn on Online booking. If you are new to this, see the Self-Service Readiness Checklist.
Step 4: Configure Your Services
Each service on your booking page displays:
Service name and short description
Service image (strongly recommended: services with images look far more professional)
Pricing (including "from" pricing for variable-price services)
Duration
Category (used for filtering)
Badges: vaccination required, mobile service, initial visit, packages available, multi-pet discount
To maximise the impact of your booking page:
Add a clear, descriptive short description for each service
Upload a service image (before-and-after photos work for grooming)
Set weight eligibility (min/max kg) so the Quick Estimate filter works properly
Configure multi-pet discount rates if applicable
Mark services as mobile if you travel to the pet owner
Step 5: Connect Stripe
Go to Settings > Payouts and connect your Stripe account. This enables online payment collection through your booking page.
Step 6: Add Policies
Go to Settings > Policies & Paperwork and add:
Terms and Conditions URL (displayed on your booking page)
Waiver URL (displayed on your booking page)
Cancellation policy: Set your notice period and fee percentage (prominently displayed)
Vaccination requirements (displayed as badges on relevant services)
Hide, Rename, and Reorder Sections
Go to Settings > Your Booking Page. The left column lets you hide, rename, and drag sections, plus add a small number of custom blocks (rich text, FAQ, gallery, Instagram, or a button). Save, then the preview on the right reloads a little while later.
Hiding a section removes it from the page for visitors and for search engines, so that heading, its text, and its links stop being indexed. Your business name, address, opening hours, and services stay in the page's structured data either way, so hiding a block never hides your business itself.
The main photo gallery is edited on Settings > Branding, or from the Gallery section on Settings > Your Booking Page. A custom gallery block on this tab is extra photos for that one section.
Before you book is a derived card. It reads vaccination, cancellation notice, card, mobile, instant confirmation, and weight range from settings you already use to take a booking. You can hide or rename it. You do not tick amenities for it.
Google reviews is also derived. It uses the Google review link on Settings > Branding. The hero chip and the reviews section share that lookup. You can hide or rename the section. You do not paste a Place ID.
Add a custom section
You can add up to 6 extra blocks. Markdown only. No HTML embeds.
Open Settings > Your Booking Page
Under Custom sections, tap Add Rich text, Add FAQ, Add Instagram, Add Gallery, or Add Call to action
Enter Heading. Optional: enter Subheading on Rich text, Instagram, and Call to action
Fill the fields for that block:
Rich text: enter Markdown
FAQ: enter Question and Answer, then tap Add question if you need another pair
Instagram: enter Pinned Instagram post URLs, then tap Add URL for each extra permalink (up to 6)
Gallery: add Photos (up to the limit shown)
Call to action: enter Button label and Button URL
Optional: tap Remove this section to delete the block
Select Publish Changes
Edit questions and answers
The generated questions at the bottom of your booking page are edited here, not on a separate FAQ settings page.
Open Settings > Your Booking Page
Scroll to Questions and answers
Tap Add a question if you want your own question above the generated ones
Tap a question to expand it
Edit Question and Answer. Leave a field blank to keep the wording Petboost generated
Turn Show off to hide a question from the page
Optional: tap Remove this question on a question you added yourself
Select Publish Changes
Owner-added rows show Your question. Generated rows show Generated. A blank owner row shows New question.
Visible items with both a question and an answer go into search results.
Pin Instagram posts
Open Settings > Your Booking Page
Under Custom sections, tap Add Instagram
Enter Heading. Optional: enter Subheading
Paste each permalink under Pinned Instagram post URLs
Tap Add URL for each extra post (up to 6)
Select Publish Changes
Quick Estimate is the weight range buttons above your services. Most booked is the carousel of your most-booked services above the category tabs. The Services section stays on the page. To hide either:
Open Settings > Your Booking Page
Find Quick Estimate or Most booked under Services
Turn Show off
Save
The same switches sit under Services in the visual editor.
Set category order
Category tabs on your booking page follow the in-use list on Settings > Service Categories. The first category is also the one the page title and link preview use.
Open Settings > Service Categories
Drag the in-use categories into the order you want
Check the first category is the one you want search results and shared links to lead with
If you have not set an order, Petboost leads with the category that has the most bookings.
To reorder individual services, packages, or membership plans:
Open Sort & Group on Services, Packages, or Memberships > Plans
Choose Reorder
Drag the list, then tap Done
Customising Your Booking Page
Adding a Hero Video
A hero video plays in the top of your booking page. Go to Settings > Branding > Showcase Video URL and paste:
A YouTube video URL (e.g.,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...)A Vimeo video URL (e.g.,
https://vimeo.com/...)An Instagram video URL
The video auto-plays (muted) when pet owners visit your page. Keep it short (30-60 seconds) and show your space, your team interacting with pets, or a grooming transformation.
Brand Colours
Your brand colours are applied throughout your booking page via CSS custom properties. This means:
The primary colour appears in accents and highlights
The primary button colour appears on all booking CTAs
The secondary colour appears in supporting elements
Choose colours that match your existing branding (business cards, signage, social media).
Service Images
Service images appear on each service card on your booking page.
Use clear, well-lit photos
Before-and-after photos work for grooming services
Show the pet receiving the service, not just your equipment
Use a consistent style across all service images
Recommended size: at least 400x300px
How Pet Owners Find Your Page
Your booking page is discoverable through multiple channels:
Google search: Your page is optimised for local keywords like "dog grooming [suburb]" and "pet daycare near me"
Petboost browse directory: Pet owners can filter businesses by name or suburb at petboost.com.au/browse/ while Online booking is on
Direct links: Share your booking page URL on social media, in emails, or on business cards
Google Business Profile: Add your booking page URL as the appointment link. Leave the website field as your own website, or point it at your booking page if you do not have one
QR codes: Generate a QR code for your booking page URL for printed materials
Sharing Your Booking Page
Finding Your URL
Copy the short link from Quick Copy Links:
Open Settings
Open Quick Copy Links
Tap Booking Page Link
Or open the account menu (your business name or logo at the top of the sidebar) and tap Showcase Page Link under Quick Copy Links.
That copies https://pbbook.now/{your-business-name}. The short link redirects to:
https://petboost.com.au/{your-business-name}-{id}/
Where to Share It
Channel | How |
Google Business Profile | Set your booking page URL as the appointment link. Leave the website field as your own website, or point it at your booking page if you do not have one |
Share the link, which will show a rich preview with your hero image
Add the URL to your bio link
Email signature | Add "View our services and book online: [URL]" |
Business cards | Print the URL or a QR code |
Text messages | Send to prospective customers who enquire |
Your Booking Page vs Booking Link
Your booking page and your booking link serve different purposes:
Your Booking Page | Booking Link
Purpose | Research, browse, and discover | Ready to book now |
Best for | New customers, social media, Google | Returning customers, direct referrals |
Shows | Services, pricing, policies, branding | Booking flow only |
SEO | Fully optimised for search engines | Not indexed |
Use your booking page URL when you want pet owners to learn about your business. Use your booking link when they are ready to book immediately.
Best Practices
Photography
Invest in a few high-quality photos of your space and team
Before-and-after grooming shots show the result
Show real pets, not stock photos
Natural lighting produces the best results
Service Descriptions
Keep descriptions concise but informative
Mention what is included (e.g., "Includes bath, blow-dry, nail trim, and ear clean")
Highlight what makes your service different
Use the short description field (displayed on the service card)
Pricing Transparency
Display accurate pricing, even if it is "from" pricing
Set weight eligibility so the Quick Estimate filter works correctly
Display multi-pet discounts if applicable
Pet owners strongly prefer businesses that show pricing upfront
Keeping Information Current
Your booking page updates automatically when you change your services, pricing, or settings in Petboost. To keep your page fresh:
Update service images seasonally
Review service descriptions quarterly
Keep your cancellation policy current
Update your hero video periodically
Troubleshooting
My booking page is not showing
Check that the account is on a Pro, Flex, Max or Enterprise plan. The Your Booking Page tab does not show a green-tick list. If the page opens but shows no services, check that Online booking is on in Settings > Booking Settings and on each service's Booking Settings tab.
My video is not playing
Ensure you have pasted a valid YouTube, Vimeo, or Instagram video URL. The video must be publicly accessible (not private or unlisted on some platforms).
How do I edit the questions at the bottom of my booking page?
Open Settings > Your Booking Page and scroll to Questions and answers. Tap a question, edit Question and Answer, and use Show to hide one. Tap Add a question to add your own. This is the only place those questions are edited.
My services look different than expected
Check that each service has:
A short description (displayed on the card)
A service image (services without images show a placeholder)
Correct weight eligibility ranges (affects Quick Estimate filtering)
The correct category assigned (affects category filtering)
