Booking Links & Deep Linking

Booking Links & Deep Linking

Overview

Booking links let customers book from your website, social media, emails, and printed materials. Use the short booking page link for sharing, the general booking form link when they should skip straight to booking, or a deep link for a specific service or package.

Short booking page link (pbbook.now)

https://pbbook.now/{your-business-name} is a valid Petboost booking page link. It redirects to your public booking page at https://petboost.com.au/{your-business-name}-{id}/.

Use this on flyers, QR codes, Instagram bios, and Google Business Profile. If you rename the business later, a printed pbbook.now link still opens your page.

pbbook.now is a Petboost domain. A link such as https://pbbook.now/darling-doggies is official, not a custom or unofficial shortener.

Where to copy it:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Open Quick Copy Links

  3. Tap Booking Page Link

Or:

  1. Open the account menu (your business name or logo at the top of the sidebar)

  2. Under Quick Copy Links, tap Showcase Page Link

Both copy the same pbbook.now address.

Types of Booking Links

1. General Business Booking Link

The booking form where customers see the services they can book.

What it does:

  • Shows all self-service enabled services

  • System automatically filters by customer status (new vs returning)

  • Customers only see services relevant to them

  • Smart eligibility checking for each pet

Best for:

  • Website "Book Now" buttons

  • Returning customers who already know you

  • Email signatures

  • Direct referrals

Format:

https://app.petboost.com/booking-form/?businessAccountId=YOUR_BUSINESS_ID

Where to find it:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Open Quick Copy Links

  3. Tap Direct Booking Link

2. Service-Specific Deep Links

Link directly to a specific service, skipping the service selection step.

What it does:

  • Customer lands directly on the selected service

  • Faster booking for targeted marketing

  • Great for promoting specific services

  • Still checks eligibility before showing availability

Best for:

  • Promoting a specific service on social media

  • Email promotions for particular services (sent from your own email client)

  • QR codes at your location (e.g., "Book Grooming Here")

  • Website pages dedicated to specific services

Format:

https://app.petboost.com/booking-form/?businessAccountId=YOUR_BUSINESS_ID&serviceId=SERVICE_ID

Where to find it:

  1. Go to Services → Select a service

  2. Go to the Overview or Basic Info tab

  3. Copy the Direct Booking Link

For more than one service, or for add-ons: use the Link Prefill Builder.

The Link Prefill Builder builds the link for you instead of you assembling the query string by hand. Open Services, use the menu at the top of the page, and choose Link Prefill Builder. Tick the services and add-ons you want selected, and copy the link it produces.

  • Handles multiple services and add-ons in one link

  • Add-ons can be prefilled on their own

  • Warns you when a service is restricted, since some clients may not see every service you tick

  • Customers still choose their pet when they open the link

3. Package Purchase Links

Link directly to purchase a specific package (prepaid credits, bundles).

What it does:

  • Customer lands on package purchase flow

  • They can buy the package immediately

  • Payment collected via their saved card or at checkout

  • Package credits added to their account

Best for:

  • Promoting package deals

  • Loyalty programme marketing

  • Upselling existing customers to prepaid packages

  • Email promotions featuring savings (sent from your own email client)

Format:

https://app.petboost.com/packages/?businessAccountId=YOUR_BUSINESS_ID&packageId=PACKAGE_ID

Where to find it:

  1. Go to Packages → Select a package

  2. Copy the Purchase Link

Where to Use Booking Links

Website buttons

A Book now and Existing Clients button pair is available for your website. Book now opens your showcase page. Existing Clients opens the booking form.

  1. Open Settings

  2. Open Quick Copy Links

  3. Tap Website Buttons

  4. Choose a button colour

  5. Drag Corners left for squarer buttons, or right for more rounded

  6. Optional: type the font name used on your website. If you leave it blank, the buttons use Arial

  7. Tap Copy HTML

  8. Paste the HTML into a code or embed block on your website

The same builder is on Launching under Update Your Links, and on Setup under Tools for Going Live.

The copied code is HTML, CSS, and SVG only. It does not load files from Petboost.

Service-specific buttons:

On a page for one service, use a deep link from that service:

<a href="https://app.petboost.com/booking-form/?businessAccountId=YOUR_ID&serviceId=GROOMING_ID"> Book Grooming</a>

Website embed:

Do not put the booking form itself in an iframe. Login cannot finish inside someone else's page.

Use the official widget instead. Customers pick a service and a day on your site. The booking form then opens in a new tab so they can confirm who they are.

  1. Open Settings

  2. Open Quick Copy Links

  3. Tap Website Embed

  4. Copy the embed code and paste it into a code or embed block on your website

The same setup is on Setup under Tools for Going Live.

Social Media

Instagram/Facebook Bio:

  • Use your general booking link

  • Or use a service-specific link for promotions

Example bio:

🐕 Dog Grooming & Daycare in Sydney📍 Bondi Beach📅 Book online: [your booking link]

Post CTAs:

When promoting a specific service:

"Spring Groom Special! ✨ Book your pup's spring refresh: [service link]"

Email Signatures

Professional signature with booking link:

Sarah SmithOwner, Pawsome Grooming📞 0412 345 678📧 [email protected]📅 Book online: https://app.petboost.com/booking-form/?businessAccountId=YOUR_ID

Google Business Profile

Google treats the appointment link and the website field as separate fields. The booking page URL goes in the appointment link. That is what turns on the booking action on your listing.

  1. Open your Google Business Profile

  2. Open the profile editor

  3. Paste your booking page URL into the appointment link field

  4. Leave the website field as your own website, or point it at your booking page if you do not have one

QR Codes

Generate QR codes for your booking links:

  1. Copy your booking link

  2. Use a free QR code generator (e.g., qr-code-generator.com)

  3. Download and print the QR code

Use QR codes on:

  • Business cards

  • Flyers and posters

  • Window signage

  • Receipts ("Book your next appointment")

  • Vehicle wraps (for mobile services)

QR Booking Cards

Petboost can generate ready-to-print QR booking cards branded with your business logo and colours. These are small, professional cards that clients can scan to book instantly.

How to generate:

  1. Go to Settings → Branding (Printable Materials section)

  2. Click QR Booking Card

  3. Choose a card style from the available designs

  4. Click Generate - a branded PDF is created with your logo, business name, and a QR code linking to your booking page

  5. Print and cut the cards

Where to use them:

  • Front desk or reception counter

  • Waiting area

  • Hand out to new clients after their first visit

  • Include in welcome packs or gift bags

  • Pin to your community notice board

The Smart Filtering Advantage

When customers use your booking links, the system works intelligently:

For New Customers

  1. They enter their phone number (not recognised)

  2. System shows services appropriate for new customers:

    • Initial consultations

    • Introductory services

    • Services without prerequisites

  3. They see only what's relevant to them

For Returning Customers

  1. They enter their phone number (recognised!)

  2. System loads their profile and pets

  3. Shows services they're eligible for:

    • Regular services (not initial services they've completed)

    • Services matching their pets' eligibility

    • Their logical next step

Example:

A new customer visiting your general booking link sees:

  • Puppy School Foundations ✅

  • Initial Grooming Consultation ✅

  • Advanced Training (hidden - requires prerequisite)

A returning customer who completed Puppy School sees:

  • Puppy School Foundations (hidden - already completed)

  • Level 2 Training ✅

  • Group Walks ✅

Tracking Booking Sources

Campaign links

To see which campaign brought a booking in, add via= and a campaign name to the link:

https://app.petboost.com/booking-form/?businessAccountId=YOUR_ID&via=spring_promo

To build the link, open Reporting & Intelligence, then Marketing Ideas, and use Campaign URL Builder. Enter a name in Your Magic Identifier, choose an option under Apply To (Booking URL, Booking Page or QR Code / A5 Flyer), then copy the link.

When a customer completes a booking through the link, the campaign name is saved on the booking as Referred via. Clicks that do not become a booking are not counted. Petboost does not record UTM parameters or a ref parameter.

Viewing campaign results

  1. Open Reporting & Intelligence, then the Appointments tab

  2. Under Appointments Deep Dive, select Deep Dive

  3. Campaign Source Breakdown shows bookings and revenue for each campaign. Use the Campaign Source filter to list one campaign's bookings

Best Practices

Keep Links Consistent

  • Use the same format across all marketing

  • Test links before publishing

  • Update links if you change services/packages

Use Service Links for Targeted Marketing

  • Running a grooming promotion? Use the grooming service link

  • Launching a new package? Use the package purchase link

  • General awareness? Use the main booking link

Make Links Easy to Access

  • Add booking link to every email signature

  • Include in automated transactional notifications

  • Display prominently on your website (not buried)

Mobile-Friendly

  • All Petboost booking links are mobile-responsive

  • Customers can book from any device

  • Test on mobile before promoting widely

Common Questions

Can I customise how the booking page looks?

Yes! Your booking page shows your business logo, colours, and branding. Configure in Settings, then Branding.

What if a customer clicks a service link but their pet isn't eligible?

The system shows an eligibility message explaining why they can't book that service. They're offered contact options to reach your business.

Do deep links work with package credits?

Yes! If a customer has package credits, they can use them when booking via any link. The system applies available credits automatically.

Is pbbook.now a valid Petboost link?

Yes. https://pbbook.now/{your-business-name} is the official short booking page link. It redirects to your public booking page on petboost.com.au. Copy it from Quick Copy Links.

Can I create links that pre-fill customer information?

Customer information is filled via phone number recognition (for returning customers), and links carrying personal data are not supported. Services and add-ons are a different matter: the Link Prefill Builder on the Services page builds a link with those already selected. See Service-Specific Deep Links.

What happens if I delete or hide a service after sharing its link?

The link will show a "service not available" message. Update your marketing materials if you disable or delete services.
