The Referral Program rewards your business for referring other pet businesses to Petboost. You share your referral link with another pet business. If that business registers through your link and qualifies under the Program Terms, Petboost sends you a gift card.
The Referral Program is for businesses referring businesses. It does not reward your customers for referring other pet owners to you. See Customer referrals.
Who can use the Referral Program
Owner Admins and Admins can open Referral Program. Service Performers and Service Supporters do not see it.
The Program Terms require the referring business to be an active Business Pro subscriber in good standing.
Join the Referral Program
In the sidebar, under Settings & account, select Referral Program
Read the Referral Partner Terms & Conditions
Select the checkbox to agree to the terms
Select Accept & Join Program
Your referral link appears after you accept. To read the terms again, open the Program Terms tab and select View Full Terms & Conditions. The tab also shows when you accepted and the terms version.
Share your referral link
Your referral link starts with https://business.petboost.com/register?referred-by= and ends with your business name and your Petboost account ID. Share the complete link. A partial or edited link does not work.
To share your link:
Open Referral Program and select the Your Referral Link tab
Select one of the following:
Copy Link copies the link
Email opens your email app with a message that contains the link
SMS opens your messaging app with a message that contains the link
Share opens your device's share options
Optional: To put your link on your website, select the Maximise Earnings tab. Small Badge, Footer CTA Banner and Partner Landing Page each have Copy Code to copy the website code and Preview to see it first.
How a referral is recorded
Petboost records a referral when the business registers through your referral link. Petboost cannot add a referral after the business has registered, so ask the business to register through your link, on the device they opened it on.
A referral is not recorded when the business:
registers without opening your link, or from a partial or edited copy of it
registers on a different device from the one they opened your link on
opens another business's referral link after yours and registers from it
Qualify for a reward
Under the Program Terms, the business you refer must:
sign up through your exact referral link
subscribe to Business Pro within 30 days
stay active for 3 consecutive months
process at least $25,000 in payments through Petboost during those 3 months
The referred business must be new to Petboost. Self-referrals and referrals between related businesses do not qualify. Businesses on Calendar Lite, and businesses that do not take payments through Petboost, do not qualify.
These payments count towards the total:
card payments taken through Petboost
SMS payment links sent to customers
in-person card terminal payments
package purchases and prepaid bundles
Reward tiers
The gift card amount depends on the total the referred business processes through Petboost in its first 3 months.

$25,000 to $49,999 | $100 |
$50,000 to $79,999 | $200 |
$80,000 or more | $400 |
There is no limit on how many businesses you can refer. Each business that qualifies earns a separate reward.
Receive your reward
Under the Program Terms, Petboost issues a reward within 14 business days after the qualifying period ends. You receive an email with instructions to claim your gift card, with a choice of Westfield, JB Hi-Fi, Amazon Australia or Visa prepaid.
Check on your referrals
The Referral Program page does not list your referrals. To get an anonymised summary of your referral link's performance, contact Petboost.
Petboost does not tell you which business signed up through your link, its name or its transaction volume. A reward does not say which referral earned it.
Referral Program rules
The Program Terms also set these rules:
Spam, unsolicited messages, misleading promotions, paid advertising on Petboost brand terms without approval, and fake accounts are not allowed. A breach can lead to forfeited rewards and account termination.
Petboost may change or end the Referral Program with 30 days notice. Referrals pending at that time are honoured under the original terms.
You are responsible for any tax on rewards you receive.
Customer referrals
Petboost has no referral links, codes, credit or rewards for your customers, and does not record which customer referred another.
To note who referred a customer, add a tag to their profile, such as "referred by Sarah". See Tags.
To ask customers for referrals, send a Promotion through Bulk SMS and choose Referral reward under Start from a template. If you offer a reward, you apply it yourself. See Bulk SMS.
