Team Recap

Team Recap writes a plain-English summary of a day, a week or a date range from your own appointment and revenue data, so you can paste it into your team chat without typing it out.

It sits at the bottom of the Overview, Day View and Week View tabs in Reporting & Intelligence. Each one recaps its own period: Day View recaps that day, Week View that week, and Overview whatever date range you have selected.

The recap is text you copy and send. Petboost does not send it anywhere for you.

Write a recap

  1. Open Reporting & Intelligence and go to Day View, Week View or Overview.

  2. Set the day, week or date range you want.

  3. Scroll to Team Recap.

  4. Select Generate Team Recap.

  5. Read it, then select Copy & share with team.

The button confirms with Copied. Paste it into your team chat, an email or a message.

To write it again after changing the settings below, select Regenerate.

Choose the tone

Select Customise tone & content, or Customise once you have a recap, and pick one Tone:

What you get

Numbers & metrics

Customers, pets, revenue and service counts

Quick recap

Short and scannable by the team

Full colour

Pet names, breeds, the moments worth mentioning and team callouts

Pick Quick recap for a daily message to the floor, Numbers & metrics for a weekly note to a business partner, and Full colour when you want the team to read something they enjoy at the end of a hard week.

Choose what goes in

Under Include, toggle each section on or off:

  • Revenue & financials

  • Appointment pipeline

  • Service breakdown

  • Team performance

  • Alerts & issues

  • Daily breakdown, on a week or a longer range only

  • Client & pet detail, off until you switch it on

  • New clients

Turn off anything you do not want your whole team reading. Revenue & financials is the usual one to drop when the recap goes to the floor rather than to an owner.

Client & pet detail and New clients need appointments in the period. With none, they stay greyed out.

If nothing generates

Generate Team Recap stays disabled when the period has no appointments, and the card reads No appointment data for this period. Pick a period with bookings in it.

If it is disabled on a period that does have bookings, check you have at least one section switched on under Include.

Before you send it

Read it first. The recap is written from your data, so it is only as accurate as the bookings and payments recorded for that period. An appointment left unpaid or a booking not checked out shows up in the recap the same way it shows up everywhere else.
