What "Pets at a Time" Means
"Pets at a time" controls how many pets can be in your care at the same time at any given moment. It is not a daily cap.
Think of it like chairs at a table. If you have 3 chairs, 3 people can sit at once, but dozens can come and go throughout the day.
Worked Example
Pets at a time: 3
Session length: 3 hours (9am-12pm)
Average service duration: 1 hour

Three rotations of three. The limit is about what you're handling right now, not how many come through the door.
Why There's No Daily Maximum Setting
Petboost doesn't have a "max pets per day" number because:
Your throughput depends on service length. A 30-minute bath & tidy means more rotations than a 2-hour full groom.
It changes day to day. Tuesdays might be all full grooms (fewer pets), Fridays might be express services (more pets).
"Pets at a time" already controls it. Combined with session length and service duration, the daily total emerges naturally.
If you genuinely need a hard daily cap (rare), you can achieve it by shortening session length or reducing "pets at a time" until the maths gives you the number you want.
You Can Always Change This
Capacity isn't locked in. If you hire a new team member, add a grooming station, or just want to try taking more dogs on Wednesdays:

Select the session or team member
Adjust "pets at a time"
Save
Changes apply to future bookings immediately. Existing bookings aren't affected.
