User Question: "Can a client split one invoice across two cards, or pay half cash and half card?"
Quick Version: No. One invoice takes one payment. Collect the full amount with one method, or take a second payment as a separate sale.
What You're Trying to Do
Split one appointment invoice across:
Two cards
Card plus cash
Card plus bank transfer
Two people paying part each
What Petboost Does
Each appointment invoice is paid once, with one method:
Card on file
SMS payment link
Card reader
Cash
Bank transfer
Other EFTPOS
Package credit applied to an appointment is not a split tender. The remaining balance is still one payment.
What to Do Instead
Take the full amount on one method (card, cash, transfer, or EFTPOS)
If they want to pay part now and part later, collect what you have today as a separate sale on the customer profile, then charge the appointment invoice for the rest when you are ready
If two owners are paying, invoice one appointment to one owner. Take the other person's share as a sale, or book two appointments
Do not look for a "split payment" or "split tender" button. It is not in the product.
